Vehicles in Germany's City Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Officers reported they were notified by a man who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Cars, walls and postboxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Police say they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no lead as to where it came from; authorities are presently not cognizant of any harm in connection with the occurrence," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the public for tips.

An important representative stated the attack left him without words and needed to be solved quickly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and revives the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on social media, recalling the death of nine victims by a gunman targeting residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
